Changes Afoot
Many of you already know this, but I’ve recently made a pretty big career change that’s also going to bring our family to the East Coast. I’m now a Technical Architect for Optaros (www.optaros.com).
The new firm consists of a group of very highly motivated and incredibly smart people and the sense of teamwork is amazing. I have been welcomed warmly and put to work quickly and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Of course, one of the reasons for the change is the chance to get back to our roots in the Northeast. Louisa and I have been talking about heading back to Boston for the past two years and now just finally seemed to be the right time, with the right opportunities opening up for us. I’m currently doing a lot of travelling back and forth, so our hope is to be fully moved out to Boston at the beginning of December, but to say there’s a lot to do between now and then would be a huge understatement, so we’ll see what happens. Our West Coast friends will be sorely missed but we’re looking forward to reuniting with friends in the Boston area, being closer to both families and trading San Diego weather for snow (oh wait, well, two out of three ain’t bad, right?).
